The Celebration of "The Day of the Salvadoran Day USA" began in 1999, becoming a historical and cultural heritage from our community in the United States. It was recognized at the Federal level in 2006 with a resolution of the Congress from United States. However, it was in 1995 when a group of leaders began to develop the idea, that they could specify until the year of 1999 with the first celebration.

The Communities of El Salvador united in the USA (UNICOMDES/USA), an organization committed to work for the welfare of the Salvadoran community in Los Angeles, CA.
Communities united of El Salvador is a non-profit organization with the purpose of unifying Salvadoran communities; communities committed to work for the welfare of Salvadorans and other ethnic groups in the USA.
